Job summary

RDR, Inc. is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) in Chantilly, VA to serve as a trusted cyber security advisor across government programs. You will architect, assess, and strengthen enterprise security solutions, lead RMF efforts, and ensure compliance in complex environments.

You will collaborate with government stakeholders, engineers, and program partners to design and implement security controls that support mission success and strengthen security posture.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Experience in security systems engineering across diverse computing environments.
• Experience with RMF and NIST 800-53 controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert cyber security guidance to government customers.
• Lead identification, analysis, and documentation of security requirements.
• Participate in security reviews, assessments, and testing to validate compliance.
• Collaborate with system admins, developers, and stakeholders to integrate security into designs.
• Identify and mitigate risks via RMF controls and industry best practices.
• Assess new hardware/software/technologies to improve security and operations.
• Review SSPs, SRTMs, and related cybersecurity documentation.
• Guide owners through A&A activities to support accreditation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
