Job Title: National Sales Representative

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary: The National Sales Representative is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and will have the responsibility for setting the future strategy for growth within the retail fixture sales division. This position offers the possibility of working remotely. The sales rep is the primary person accountable for retail store fixture sales profitable revenue growth. The growth strategy needs to be built on a sound understanding of regional and national markets and a prioritization of where Bearwood will achieve profitable growth. The sales rep leads the development of new customers and expansion of current accounts. He/she will assist senior leadership with establishing key new vendor relationships and new business development opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Meet and exceed financial targets in the retail fixture sales sector
  2. Responsible and accountable for budgetary profit and loss
  3. Progress on new business development plan and win/loss report monthly
  4. Proactively assess the marketplace and develop business strategies through marketing opportunities & markets
  5. Gather intelligence on customers and competitors
  6. Generate leads for possible sales
  7. Follow-up on sales activity
  8. Evaluate the current business model and develop strategic sales strategies
  9. Follow-up on sales and customer requests/issues until resolved in a timely manner
  10. Provide timely and accurate management information on sales progress monthly and as required
  11. Establish annual sales objectives including sales margins and monitor same on a monthly basis
  12. Manage margins at the quote stage and utilize layout efficiencies to achieve sales and margin targets
  13. Notify clients regarding new products and/or changes (create documents and follow-up calls)
  14. Ensure order checking and sign-off process is effective, indicated by receivables problems and 100% completion of the first-time report
  15. Represent retail sales at corporate marketing and sales meetings and participate in the development of corporate marketing and sales plans
  16. Work with Management in preparation and updating of sales budget and forecasts
  17. Analyze variances between actuals and budget monthly
  18. Keep abreast of the latest economic indicators, changing trends, and activity among competitors
  19. Provide monthly reports on meetings and opportunities for increased business and partnerships with customers
  20. Attend association and trade show meetings and participate in their activities
  21. Visit major accounts at least once per month
  22. Oversee the preparation and submission of quotations and sales orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a sales representative
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices and ability to build productive business relationships
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven sales track record
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver tailored presentations
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Professional appearance to represent the company image

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or business
  • 10 years of sales experience within the retail store fixture industry
  • 7+ years of experience in retail store fixture sales

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business materials, and effectively communicate with groups of managers, clients, and the public.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and interpret technical instructions and variables.

Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License

Physical Demands: Occasionally lift/move up to 10 pounds; frequent sitting; occasional walking, talking, and hearing.

Travel Required: Some nationwide travel.
