Job summary

VDL Jansen is seeking a National Sales Manager to grow the U.S. poultry market by leading long-term sales projects and serving as the commercial link between the company, dealers, and end customers. This field-based role emphasizes relationship building, market development, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, project and service teams.

Travel across the United States is required. Ideal candidates will have a decade of sales experience in capital equipment or poultry industries,

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in sales, preferably in capital equipment, agri-tech, or poultry-related industries.
• Solid understanding of poultry production processes and technical systems.
• Proven track record in closing high-value, complex sales.
• Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Based in the United States and willing to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial plans for the U.S. poultry market.
• Manage and expand relationships with dealers, integrators, and key customers.
• Identify new market opportunities and translate them into concrete projects.
• Guide customers through complex purchasing and decision-making processes.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements.
• Work closely with internal engineering, project, and service teams.
• Track market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments.
• Travel extensively within the United States to support customers and partners.
