Job Description
The National Sales Manager - Eggs, will lead and grow Tosca's egg supply chain. In this role, you will set strategy, manage, and direct all efforts downstream into grocery retail and upstream between and within processing plants. The ideal candidate must have experience in the poultry space, a solid commercial background ‐ including experience selling into retail, sales and marketing experience, supply chain experience, leadership ability, and a desire to sell emerging products and services.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive and manage profitable growth for Tosca in the egg supply chain.
- Lead the Tosca eggs sales team in North America, including strategy, growth initiatives, managing relationships, and budget.
- Develop retail market strategy (downstream) in North America.
- Develop upstream (plant-to-plant) market strategy to drive RPC, bin, and pallet growth opportunities.
- Initiate meetings with prospective retailers and strengthen relationships with existing Tosca RPC retailers.
- Identify new retail opportunities, secure trials, and close profitable deals.
- Engage with retail cross-functional teams such as supply chain, logistics, warehousing, sustainability, technology, and procurement.
- Maintain a pipeline of downstream and upstream sales opportunities.
- Develop new packaging solutions in existing and new supply chains.
- Manage multiple supply chains and accounts professionally and assertively.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for RPC conversions and new retail solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 10 years of poultry/egg supply chain or retail sales experience.
- Preferred experience in Retail/Perishable/Packaging sectors.
- Business-to-business sales experience.
- High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, and comfort in a demanding corporate setting.
- High level of humility and ability to handle challenges.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently, organize, and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in managing sales efforts, including opening, developing, and closing accounts.
- Market research and supply chain analysis skills.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and maximize profits.
- Willingness to travel up to 60%, including overnight stays.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Active learner.
Work Schedule
Location: Remote (U.S. – open to candidates nationwide)
Travel: Up to 60% travel expected.
