Vertical Sales Manager, Advanced Manufacturing, Global Projects

Who we are looking for:

Atkore is engaged in a new strategic business initiative to address the ever-changing needs of our global customers as they develop mega and multi-site construction programs around the world. On these projects our customers are often Owners, Specifying Engineers, General Contractors and Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Subcontractors and Off-Site Manufacturing Companies all working in partnership. We are currently looking for a Vertical Sales Manager to support the Data Center verticals within this space. The National Sales Manager's primary responsibility is for driving revenue and market share growth for large projects and programs, within the datacenter vertical markets.

We seek proactive, communicative candidates passionate about our products and clients. The role involves building long-term relationships, acting as a point of contact, and collaborating internally to meet client needs. The manager will develop new business through global or regional projects, requiring strong relationship-building skills across organizational levels.

What you'll do:

  • Communicate with clients to understand needs and explain product portfolio
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients as the main contact point
  • Collaborate with internal teams to fulfill client needs
  • Develop strategic partnerships with clients
  • Target key clients globally or regionally in specific vertical markets
  • Engage with different management levels, demonstrating technical and commercial expertise
  • Show true value to clients and engage their personnel
  • Compile reports, conduct market research, and analyze data to support growth
  • Manage a broad pipeline across multiple regions and geographies
  • Monitor project pricing monthly
  • Navigate organizational landscapes to develop relationships and drive initiatives
  • Coordinate resources to maximize customer benefit
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to meet customer goals and provide visibility
  • Support company growth and profitability goals
  • Promote Atkore's core values and utilize business systems

What you'll bring:

  • Alignment with Atkore's core values
  • Strong leadership and management skills across teams and regions
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or business systems is a plus
  • Experience in Semiconductor, Data Center, or Battery markets is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related; Master's preferred
  • At least 7+ years in sales and management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, relationship-builder, team player, creative
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and quality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS, Salesforce, etc.
  • Willing to work remotely and travel up to 70%

Goals within the first year:

  • Complete onboarding and develop key stakeholder relationships
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market plan for Batteries
  • Achieve sales targets and market penetration
