Job summary

AE2S is seeking a Pipeline and Conveyance Practice Leader to shape national strategy and direct the growth of the practice across multiple states. You will set vision for pipelines and distribution systems and lead technical direction for major projects nationwide.

The role emphasizes collaboration with operations, client development, and strategy leadership, with opportunities to mentor engineers and influence project delivery. Strong travel and leadership skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years of experience in pipeline and conveyance engineering for water, wastewater, reuse, or related utility infrastructure.
• 2 years of demonstrated experience leading teams, initiatives, or practice areas.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, the public, and other employees.
• Ability to travel periodically to support conferences, project pursuits, client meetings, and other business development activities.

Responsibilities

• Set and drive the national vision for pipeline and conveyance and distribution systems.
• Partner across regions to grow teams, capabilities and marketing presence.
• Lead technical direction and elevate quality across all large pipeline and conveyance projects.
• Anticipate and operationalize emerging trends in pipeline and conveyance infrastructure and system design.
• Represent AE2S as a recognized voice in the industry through client advisory roles, conferences, and professional engagements.
• Support major pursuits and provide technical leadership in business development.
• Mentor and develop engineers and technical staff across offices.
