Job summary

Society of St. Vincent de Paul USA is seeking a Chief Philanthropy Officer to build and lead a comprehensive national fundraising program that advances the mission. The role reports to the CEO and collaborates with the National Council and councils nationwide to grow revenue and donor engagement.

The CPO will develop strategy, lead a high-performing philanthropy team, and cultivate relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners to sustain mission impact across the country.

Qualifications

• At least 8–10 years of senior fundraising experience.
• Experience leading a national philanthropy program and staff.
• Ability to build and manage donor portfolios and pipelines.
• Strong collaboration with executives and boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive national philanthropy strategy.
• Oversee multiple giving channels: major, principal, annual, and planned gifts.
• Manage a philanthropy team and set accountability metrics.
• Cultivate major donor relationships and partner with senior leadership.
• Develop donor communications and stewardship programs.
