Job summary

The CPO mentors senior staff, manages a high-capacity donor portfolio, and advances forecasting, KPI reporting, and planned giving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 13+ years in philanthropy, fundraising, or related leadership roles.
• Executive-level leadership experience with fundraising strategy and revenue accountability.
• Proven success securing transformational gifts and managing donor portfolios.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams with KPI forecasting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead, and evolve a comprehensive philanthropic strategy for annual and campaign fundraising.
• Oversee Forever Wild campaign planning, revenue forecasting, and donor engagement.
• Provide executive leadership for governance committees and board partnerships.
• Cultivate donor-centered strategies for acquisition, retention, and long-term engagement.
• Align philanthropic priorities with organizational strategy and external engagement.
• Lead planned giving program development and stewardship through the Prairie Legacy Society.
• Oversee frontline fundraising operations and donor engagement teams.
• Manage budgeting, annual planning, and donor pipeline growth.
