Job summary

Meals On Wheels of Tampa seeks a Chief Philanthropy Officer to lead an integrated philanthropy and community engagement function, expanding annual development revenue and partnerships.

The CPO will manage a donor portfolio, guide strategy with the CEO and Board, and build a multi-year plan to grow giving, planned giving, and sponsorships while preserving the organization's mission and community-centered approach.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in philanthropy or related nonprofit leadership.
• Proven success growing multimillion-dollar portfolios and securing major gifts.
• Ability to lead teams, consultants, cross-functional initiatives, and collaborate with boards.
• Tampa Bay relationships and bilingual English/Spanish capability are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute a multiyear philanthropy and community engagement plan aligned with the organization's strategic vision.
• Personally manage a portfolio of major donors, prospects, and strategic partners.
• Own annual revenue planning, forecasting, pipeline management, performance measurement, and accountability.
• Lead an integrated team spanning development, donor relations, communications, and outreach.
• Build partnerships with healthcare systems, insurers, corporations, foundations, civic organizations.
