Job summary

Tailwind Group is seeking a National Operations Specialist to provide expert operational support across our student housing assets. The role requires leading on-site teams during manager absences, coordinating training, and ensuring daily property operations meet financial targets.

Candidates should be prepared for heavy travel (75–90%), with responsibilities spanning leasing, maintenance, administration, and collaboration with regional managers to execute plans and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, real estate, or related field.
• Two+ years in property management or student housing is preferred.
• Experience with property management software such as Entrata.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent customer service during resident, prospect, and vendor interactions.
• Lead and manage on-site teams during absence of a Property Manager.
• Identify operational issues and develop remediation plans with Regional Property Manager.
• Ensure properties meet financial and operational obligations as Property Manager when needed.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new employees and properties.
• Monitor site condition, curb appeal, and cleanliness for superior appearance.
• Support marketing, leasing, and market research to achieve budgeted occupancy.
• Assist with unit turnover and move-in/move-out procedures.
• Solicit feedback from team and implement resolution plans.
• Monitor delinquency and take action to minimize debt.
• Identify training gaps and coordinate remedial sessions.
• Lead onboarding of new properties and site staff.
