Job summary

Van Meter is seeking a National Contractor Account Specialist to service our national contractor accounts and support sales growth. You will work with account managers and sales leaders to deliver customer-focused services, develop pricing strategies, and drive large project opportunities within the construction and contractor markets.

The role emphasizes inside sales leadership, collaboration across teams, and a strong focus on customer relationships and profitability for Van Meter’s key

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years degree and 4-6 years of industry experience required.
• Previous experience in customer service required.
• Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
• Knowledge of Eclipse preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills via phone, email and in person are required.
• Knowledge and experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation part and distribution is required.
• Proven negotiation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Service National Contractor accounts and support account leadership.
• Provide projects or information on products or services to customers.
• Manage inbound and outbound sales communication and resolve customer issues.
• Assist customers with product selection and application.
• Quote prices, credit terms and prepare sales orders for orders obtained.
• Develop partnerships with vendors and support large projects.
