Job summary

Catena Media is seeking an SEO PR Specialist to secure coverage and links across the US media landscape. You will convert policy data and industry insights into stories for national, regional and trade outlets, building authoritative coverage for our brands.

You will leverage an established US journalist network and strong knowledge of US gaming regulation to place content, arrange interviews, and drive SEO value through strategic link placements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in digital PR, media relations or communications.
• Established network of US journalist and editor contacts.
• Understanding compliance sensitivities of promoting gambling in the US.
• Strong knowledge of US gaming landscape: regulation and operators.
• Data analysis and data storytelling capabilities.
• Understanding PR creates SEO value: links, anchors, followed vs nofollowed.
• Experience with media databases and monitoring tools (Muck Rack, Cision, Prowly, Roxhill).
• Exceptional written English with US news, business and sports idiom.
• Ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines.
• Direct experience in PR for online gambling or affiliate business preferred.
• Broadcast or podcast placements experience advantageous.
• Experience with industry associations or public affairs campaigns advantageous.
• Experience running creator/influencer partnerships advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the digital PR calendar across US brands.
• Turn legislation and regulation into stories for multiple audiences.
• Organize interviews with industry leaders and policymakers.
• Partner with associations, advocacy groups, publishers and operators.
• Develop data-led story angles from proprietary and public data.
• Pitch to journalists across national and regional desks and media.
• Build and grow a network of media relationships for quick placements.
• Position writers as expert sources on US gaming policy.
• Run the reactive newsroom around breaking news and events.
• Commission assets and brief data visuals, landing pages.
• Manage press releases and wire distribution when valuable.
• Secure SEO-value placements and appropriate anchor text.
• Monitor unlinked brand mentions and convert to links.
• Collaborate with Off-Page Specialist on campaign targets.
• Track coverage metrics and feed results back to campaigns.
• Ensure outreach complies with responsible gambling and disclosures.
• Support campaigns in new markets as needed.
• Handle ad hoc tasks as assigned.
