Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Senior Manager of Field Training to lead strategy, design, and execution of training for a large nationwide field organization. You will oversee onboarding, uptraining, certifications, leadership growth, and readiness across markets, partnering with Field Operations, Product, Safety, and Governance teams to translate changes into practical learning solutions.

The role requires 8+ years in training leadership, 3+ years of people leadership, and a strong bias toward

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in training, learning and development, field enablement, or operational training leadership.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience managing teams and developing leaders.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or experience.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms and modern enablement tools.
• Experience designing and scaling training for large dispersed organizations.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead field training strategy for nationwide organization (~4,500 employees).
• Oversee full training lifecycle: onboarding, uptraining, certifications, leadership development.
• Ensure programs are scalable, practical, and consistent across markets.
• Collaborate with Field Ops, Product, Safety, SOP/Governance and Talent teams.
• Oversee design and delivery of instructor-led, virtual, blended, and digital solutions.
