Job summary

Vivint Smart Home, an NRG owned company, seeks a Senior Manager, Field Training to lead strategy, design, and execution of training across a nationwide field organization. This role partners with Field Operations, Product, Safety, and Governance to deliver practical learning solutions for equipment installation and service environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in training, learning and development, field enablement, or operational training leadership.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience managing teams and developing leaders.
• Bachelor's degree in Learning and Development, Education, Business, Organizational Development, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms, mobile learning, and modern enablement tools.
• Proven experience designing and scaling training for large, dispersed organizations, including nationwide deployment.
• Direct experience in field operations environments that include equipment installation, with ability to translate field realities into practical training.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and cross-functional partnership skills.
• Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics to improve training outcomes and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the nationwide field training strategy aligned to operational and safety goals.
• Oversee full training lifecycle: onboarding, uptraining, certifications, leadership development.
• Ensure training programs are scalable and consistent across markets.
• Translate operational changes into clear learning solutions.
• Use data and feedback to continuously improve training effectiveness.
• Lead and develop a team of training managers and facilitators.
• Partner with Field Operations to identify capability gaps and prioritize training.
