Job summary

Fishbeck seeks a Bridge Inspection Lead to lead and grow the national bridge inspection practice across multiple states, while managing client relationships, project execution, pursuits, and staff development. This role works with the Transportation team and supports recruitment efforts for bridge expertise.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 15+ years in bridge inspection, and experience with DOT programs and load ratings in AASHTOWare BrR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 15+ years in bridge inspection or related DOT/local agency projects.
• Qualified bridge inspection program manager and team leader experience.
• Experience with DOT bridge management software.
• Experience performing load ratings in AASHTOWare BrR.
• SPRAT certification preferred.
• Knowledge of design modeling or plan production software is a plus.
• Strong communication skills; field work and travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the bridge inspection practice, including supporting recruiting efforts with bridge team leaders.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to technical staff.
• Manage contracts with DOTs, counties, local agencies, private clients, and other partners.
• Assist departments with identifying and pursuing bridge inspection contracts in current and future office locations.
• Lead pursuits, prepare proposals, and develop fees for potential projects.
• Develop strategic alliances with industry peers to provide bridge inspection services.
• Work with other departments to support client development and cross-marketing opportunities.
• Contribute to the development of the firm’s long-term business goals and objectives.
