Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a National Analytic Consultant for its Employee Benefits group. The role leads data analytics on a national scale, partnering with senior consultants, producers, and benefits teams to deliver insights for underwriting, renewals, funding analyses, and strategic decisions.

The position emphasizes analytics, technology, and industry expertise to drive growth and client outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field with strong analytical acumen.
  • Experience in underwriting, manual rating methodologies, and healthcare pricing.
  • Knowledge of funding arrangements and financial risk assessment.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear client insights.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data.
  • Evaluate underwriting data and support carrier pricing, negotiations, and funding analyses.
  • Deliver data-driven insights to support client decision-making.
  • Provide analytical support for renewals, prospecting, and business development.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and presentations communicating complex information.
  • Develop and maintain analytics methodologies and reporting standards.
  • Evaluate analytics tools to enhance client outcomes.
  • Analyze trends and financial metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Recommend process improvements to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to meet client objectives.
  • Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Share knowledge and mentor team members.
  • Maintain knowledge of underwriting methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Uphold IOA values in all interactions.
