Job summary

Acuity Inc., NYSE: AYI, is seeking a NAVS Vertical Sales Support & Operations Specialist to drive growth by supporting operational execution and opportunity creation across national accounts and vertical solutions. The role coordinates across end users, direct sellers, agents, contractors, distributors, and internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.

The position is hybrid with travel 1-20%, based anywhere in the United States, and may involve some travel.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical degree or equivalent with 3–5 years in commercial lighting/electrical distribution
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software
• Technical aptitude to understand lighting systems products and services
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse environment
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills with good judgment
• Customer-focused and assertive in driving actions for service excellence

Responsibilities

• Support growth and expansion of the National Account and Vertical Solutions team through strategic sales and customer support initiatives
• Coordinate pre- and post-sales activities across sales, design, quotations, project management, operations, and customer support teams while creating processes that are scalable and repeatable
• Serve as a liaison between direct sellers, agents, contractors, and customers to ensure clear communication and successful project execution
• Create and maintain channel and vertical reporting content and cadence
• Identify and implement process improvements that streamline workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and improve execution efficiency
• Support customer outreach, prospecting, and demand-generation campaigns to increase market awareness and drive new opportunities
• Drive accountability and follow-up on key opportunities, actions, and customer commitments
• Assist in managing and advancing the sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are actively tracked, updated, and progressing through the funnel. Utilize lead gen tools (such as Dodge) to generate and distribute qualified leads to sales team
• Contribute to the development of best practices, training resources, and operational tools that support long-term business growth
