Role Summary: The Senior Sales Consultant is a key member of the National Accounts New Business sales team. The role involves providing strategic sales support to the National Accounts Sales VPs, focusing on new business growth through selling product solutions such as medical, dental, pharmacy, behavioral health, etc.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support new business growth activities for assigned regions, targeting Fortune 100-500 employers, under the guidance of an experienced National Sales VP.
  2. Contribute to achieving membership sales, growth, profitability, and persistency goals through prospecting and relationship management.
  3. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitive differentiators.
  4. Develop in-depth knowledge of Cigna's products and services across all lines, including Healthcare, Dental, Behavioral, Group Insurance, Pharmacy, and others.
  5. Collaborate with Advocacy partners on benefits, service, and relationship strategies to foster growth.
  6. Work closely with internal teams and external partners, including National Account Managers, Underwriting, Marketing, and Sales Effectiveness.
  7. Coordinate with local sales teams, including U3000 & O3000 partnerships.

Qualifications:

  1. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  2. Knowledge of healthcare and managed care businesses, including product knowledge, underwriting, risk analysis, marketing, sales, and account management.
  3. Familiarity with Salesforce.com.
  4. Strong presentation and communication skills adaptable to different audiences.
  5. Excellent project management and relationship-building skills.
  6. Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple issues and prioritize effectively.
  7. Ability to develop collaborative relationships with matrix partners to achieve goals.

Note: If working remotely, internet connection must be via cable broadband or fiber optic with minimum speeds of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload.

Salary range: $69,600 - $116,000 annually, depending on experience and location, with potential for bonuses.
