Role Summary:

The Senior Sales Consultant is an integral member of the National Accounts New Business sales team. This role involves providing strategic sales support to the National Accounts Sales VPs in new business growth, focusing on selling product solutions such as medical, dental, pharmacy, behavioral health, etc.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support new business growth activities for the assigned region under the leadership of an experienced National Sales VP (NST), targeting Fortune 100-500 employers.
  2. Assist in achieving membership sales, growth, profitability, and persistency goals, including prospecting and relationship management with consultants.
  3. Maintain knowledge of market trends and competitive service differentiators.
  4. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Cigna products and services across all lines, including Healthcare, Dental, Behavioral, Group Insurance, Pharmacy, and others.
  5. Collaborate with Advocacy partners on benefits, service, and relationship strategies to foster growth.
  6. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including National Account Managers, Service Operations, Underwriting, Product, Marketing, Pricing, and Sales Effectiveness teams.
  7. Coordinate with local sales teams, including U3000 & O3000 partnerships.
Qualifications:
  1. Undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience) and 3+ years of relevant experience.
  2. Knowledge of healthcare/managed care business, including product knowledge, underwriting, risk and financial analysis, marketing, sales practices, and account management.
  3. Familiarity with Salesforce.com.
  4. Strong presentation and communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
  5. Excellent project management and relationship-building skills.
  6. Demonstrated planning and organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple issues simultaneously and prioritizing effectively.
  7. Ability to develop strong working relationships with matrix partners to drive deliverables.

For remote work, a reliable internet connection via cable broadband or fiber optic with at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds is required.

Salary range for this role is estimated at $69,600 - $116,000 USD annually, depending on experience and location, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus.
