Job summary

Disc Medicine in the United States is seeking a National Account Director to lead market access strategies for national and regional payers, PBMs, and GPOs, ensuring patient access to its hematology therapies.

Reporting to the VP Market Access, you will educate cross-functional teams, manage senior payer relationships, and drive strategic plans, with a hybrid work arrangement including remote options and the Watertown, MA headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 15+ years’ experience in Market Access in the biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical industry.
• 5+ years’ experience in an account management role launching rare therapies with payer and PBM customers.
• Experience negotiating with payers and/or PBMs.
• Willing to travel at least 60% of the time; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• National Account Strategy & Customer Engagement for national/regional payers, PBMs, and GPOs.
• Develop and implement access strategies to secure favorable coverage and patient access.
• Lead cross-functional teams to communicate payer policies and resolve access barriers.
• Educate internal teams on payer coverage policies to improve strategic planning.
• Provide market intelligence to identify payer dynamics and opportunities.
