THE OPPORTUNITY

Hint, a fast-growing beverage brand, seeks a high-energy, results-driven Director, National Accounts, focusing on Walmart and Sam's Club. Reporting to the VP, National Accounts, this role involves managing key accounts, supporting sales cycles, and fostering relationships with retailers and distributors. The candidate should proactively manage customer and distributor relationships and seek new growth opportunities.

This is a remote, individual contributor role, ideally for candidates near Bentonville, AR.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and build strategic relationships with Walmart and Sam's Club merchants and leadership.
  • Develop account strategies, including promotional and display plans, to meet brand, volume, and KPI objectives.
  • Manage trade spend to meet goals, including broker management.
  • Conduct analysis and develop presentations to increase display activity, expand distribution, and enhance market share.
  • Communicate account progress, pricing, promotional activities, and resets to internal teams.
  • Work with sales teams to set execution standards for key events and programs.
  • Use category management to maximize distribution, shelf presence, and feature support.
  • Analyze distributor and market data, including POS data from Walmart and Sam's Club.
  • Spend 80% of time on selling and managing customer relationships; 20% on internal management and meetings.
  • Travel as needed for meetings and customer visits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of sales leadership experience, with 4+ years managing key retail accounts.
  • Experience managing accounts with Walmart or similar retail environments.
  • Trade fund management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with RTM models like DSD, KeHE, Direct.
  • Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Google Docs).
  • Experience in promotional planning and joint business planning.
  • Proactive, with a strong sense of urgency and positive attitude.
Benefits
  • Salary: $125,000-$160,000, depending on experience and location.
