Your Job

Georgia Pacific Gypsum is hiring a National Account Manager for the Lumber & Building Materials (LBM) channel. You will manage current LBM accounts and develop new business opportunities. Your key focus will be on executing sales strategies aimed at profitable growth, with success measured by sales targets, revenue, and client expansion.

This position is home-based, located anywhere in the Central or Eastern US, with up to 30% travel for client visits and industry events.

Our Team

Our expanding national accounts team manages the largest strategic LBM accounts. We collaborate closely with customers and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions, build strong relationships, and grow a high-value customer portfolio.

What You Will Do

  • Use a consultative approach to sell gypsum products, addressing customer needs effectively.
  • Identify and secure new opportunities within the LBM channel from prospecting to closing.
  • Manage a portfolio of customers and prospects, building relationships with decision-makers.
  • Demonstrate strong time management and self-reliance to meet sales goals.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners, employing innovative problem-solving.
  • Maintain accurate activity reports and leverage data for strategic decisions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and continuously improve product knowledge.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of sales or account management experience focused on growth.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and deliver profitable solutions.
  • Strong account management skills and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, closing.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically, including overnight stays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar tools for business decisions.
  • Skills in market analysis and responding to competitive situations.
  • Experience prospecting and managing sales in building materials industry.

The salary range is $85,000 - $105,000 annually, with potential variable pay through bonuses or other incentives.
