About The Role
The National Account Manager is responsible for managing relationships and projects for a key portfolio of customer accounts while fostering a culture of responsiveness and transparency, driving engagement and retention. This role will also focus on identifying new opportunities for relationship development, from market research to onboarding activities in partnership with the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple key accounts simultaneously, building transparent, trusting, and professional relationships, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
- Act as the liaison between assigned accounts and internal teams, following up on all queries and complaints to provide an exceptional customer experience.
- Identify prospective strategic customers for the sales team using various PLA tools.
- Partner with the sales team to onboard new customers and vendors.
- Support ongoing efforts to maintain and strengthen customer relationships through various communication channels, understanding current and future needs, and gathering feedback on satisfaction.
- Assist the sales team with regular customer data and metrics reporting, using insights to identify trends and suggest innovative improvements.
- Maintain and expand knowledge of market trends, best practices, and PLA services.
- Represent and promote the PLA Family of Companies at industry events.
- Update customer data in the appropriate systems as needed.
- Foster collaborative partnerships with PLA staff and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education
- Minimum of 2 years of sales or account management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Proficiency with CRM software; experience with HubSpot and ZoomInfo is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
Physical & Environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment; occasional off-site tasks requiring travel. Use of personal protective equipment may be necessary in certain facilities.
