Job Description: National Account Manager at IQVIA

IQVIA, the global leader in commercial solutions for the healthcare industry, is seeking a National Account Manager to join our team of over 10,000 field representatives worldwide. Our teams facilitate the delivery of medicines to patients, providing insights and market access strategies to our biopharma clients, and acting as their sales force or educational resource.

Purpose: The National Account Director manages national and regional accounts, develops strategic contracts, and builds relationships within targeted accounts and clients, under the guidance of the Client Lead.

Responsibilities:

  1. Launch new drugs effectively within Managed Care accounts, PBMs, Medicaid PBMs, and State Government Accounts, aiming for formulary inclusion and pull-through benefits.
  2. Develop and nurture strong relationships with key accounts.
  3. Gather and report competitor insights, market trends, and client information.
  4. Maintain regular communication with internal teams and client management.
  5. Participate in national and regional sales meetings.
  6. Complete all reports promptly.
  7. Negotiate contracts to secure favorable formulary placements.
  8. Manage existing contracts and relationships.
  9. Represent IQVIA at major national payer organizations such as AMCP and PCMA.
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 10 years of relevant healthcare/pharmaceutical/biotech experience, including 5 years in Managed Markets, or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and business acumen.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Repetitive keyboard use and extensive communication via phone and face-to-face interactions.
