Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Route Sales Representative in Texas to service and grow an assigned customer base along a predefined route. You will sell batteries to National Account dealers, rotate batteries, maintain displays, and keep dealer lists up to date.

You will build strong dealer relationships, complete timely documentation, and handle collection of junk batteries. A CDL and clean driving record are required, with strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CDL and have clean driving record.
• Prior sales experience highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Current, valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write and compute basic math.
• Minimum 2 years demonstrated sales, customer service and delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Sell new batteries to National Account dealers.
• Rotate batteries and collect cores.
• Maintain the route by keeping displays clean and keeping dealer list up to date.
• Service each National Account dealer.
• Establish, build and maintain good dealer relationships.
• Complete documentation on a timely basis.
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to Distributorship.
