Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Mundelein, IL is seeking a Route Sales Representative to service and grow an assigned set of National Account dealers along a fixed route. You will sell new batteries, rotate stock, maintain displays, and ensure accurate dealer records.

The role requires a valid driver's license, strong communication and customer service skills, and at least 2 years in sales or delivery. You will build lasting dealer relationships and complete documentation on a timely basis.

Qualifications

Must possess current DL and have clean driving record.
Prior sales experience highly desirable.
Good communication skills.
Strong customer service skills.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Current, valid state driver’s license.
Ability to read, write and compute basic math.
Minimum 2 years demonstrated sales, customer service and delivery experience.

Responsibilities

Sell new batteries to National Account dealers.
Rotate batteries and collect cores.
Maintain the route by keeping displays clean and keeping dealer list up to date.
Service each National Account dealer.
Establish, build and maintain good dealer relationships.
Complete documentation on a timely basis.
Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to Distributorship.
