National Account Battery Delivery Specialist

Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a NAC Delivery Specialist to deliver batteries and deliver outstanding service to National Account customers on your route. You will load and unload, maintain accurate inventories, and keep displays clean and rotated per agreements.

You will manage dealer accounts, handle paperwork promptly, and interact professionally with customers and team members. A clean driving record and a valid DOT card are required, with overtime possible on some routes.

Qualifications

• High school graduate (or equivalent).
• Able to read, write, and compute basic math.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience required.
• Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools is required (tablets, scanners).
• Demonstrates good organizational skills and can prioritize tasks.
• Works with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Approaches tasks with a sense of urgency.
• Depending on location, overnight routes may be required.
• Must have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirements.
• Must have and maintain a valid DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver batteries and provide service to each National Account customer on your route in a safe and timely manner.
• Load and unload trucks safely and maintain an accurate account of all company assets.
• Keep displays and product clean, full, and rotated per National Account agreement.
• Accountable for managing a dealer account, including but not limited to: sales, consignment, warranties, rotates, cash collection, and invoicing.
• Complete delivery/route transactions and other paperwork on a timely basis.
• Interact professionally with all stakeholders, including team members, managers, and customers.
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager.
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned, including battery delivery and service to non-National account customers.
