Job summary

Meta Security is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our Nation State leadership team. You will drive strategy across security and engineering, influence stakeholders, and develop detection and response automation using industry-standard and custom platforms.

You will work with Security Engineers and Analysts to identify critical assets, assess top risks, and evaluate potential attacks against Meta systems, while collaborating with policy and legal teams to strengthen governance and

Qualifications

• Understanding of security risk management in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience in offensive or defensive cyber operations, detection and response engineering.
• Experience communicating and influencing across functions to drive solutions.
• Experience delivering executive-level security strategies.
• Engineering experience and ability to reason about complex systems.
• Experience designing systems for external and insider threat responses.
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize risk across the company.
• Lead cross-company workstreams to deploy security capabilities.
• Lead initiatives to strengthen incident detection and response.
• Perform TTP-based threat modeling across assets and environments.
• Review security architectures and propose logging, detection, and prevention controls.
• Collaborate with policy and legal teams to strengthen standards and governance.
• Build response workflows to auto-resolve false positives and scale investigations.
• Influence asset-owning teams to adopt proper access control designs.
• Support security incident response in cross-functional environments.
