Job summary

HX5, LLC seeks an Aerospace V&V Systems Engineer to join our team at NASA Glenn Research Center in Brook Park, Ohio. The role focuses on verification and validation planning and execution for the SR-1 Freedom Nuclear Power Module, supporting the GEARS contract.

You will lead verification methods, maintain the Verification Matrix, coordinate test planning, and collaborate with Integration & Test and External Interfaces leads, reporting to the SR-1 NPM Lead Systems Engineer.

Qualifications

• Experience with verification and validation planning and execution.
• Knowledge or experience with spacecraft integration at the system and subsystems levels.
• Knowledge or experience with formal systems engineering processes.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with NASA team and industry partners.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify and validate the SR-1 NPM against mission success criteria.
• Define verification methods for all requirements.
• Maintain the Verification Matrix to align partner V&V plans with system V&V.
• Ensure V&V plans align with SR-1 V&V plan.
• Coordinate test planning for requirement closure at subsystem and system levels.
• Validate mission requirements and concept of operations.
• Collaborate with Integration & Test and External Interfaces leads.
• Interface to the mission level V&V planning effort.
