Aerodyne Industries in Houston seeks a temporary PCB Designer for NASA avionics systems. You will create multilayer layouts in Altium Designer, develop footprints, and collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical engineers to ensure enclosure integration and fabrication readiness.

This 26-week position requires IPC Class 3 space-grade design, strict DRC/DFM practices, and documentation packages. Experience coordinating with fabrication vendors and producing schematics, assemblies, and wiring

Formación

• HS Diploma or equivalent with 15 years of experience or related education.
• Expert in Altium Designer for multilayer, high-density, IPC Class 3 space-grade designs.
• Strong IPC standards knowledge and DRC/DFM best practices.
• Experience creating and managing component libraries, symbols, footprints, and 3D models.
• Skilled in analog, digital, RF/high-frequency, differential pairs, impedance-controlled routing, and high-power circuitry.
• Ability to produce complete documentation packages including schematics, PCB assemblies, mechanical drawings, and harness drawings.
• Experience coordinating with fabrication and assembly vendors.

Responsabilidades

• Report to Electronics & Electrical Section Manager within a 45+ engineer team.
• Provide PCB design support for NASA JSC projects.
• Create multilayer PCB layouts in Altium Designer.
• Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers on interfaces and packaging.
• Implement analog, digital, RF/high-frequency, and high-power circuitry.
• Generate Gerbers and complete fabrication data packages.
• Create footprints from datasheets and maintain libraries.
• Document schematics, PCB assemblies, and wiring harness drawings.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure clear PCB fabrication communication.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
