Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. in Sandy Springs, GA is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician to support the Narcotics Pharmacist Supervisor.

You will handle daily functions, maintain narcotics room duties, and ensure timely stock, returns processing, and quality control. Requirements include GA Pharmacy Technician licensure, a high school diploma or equivalent, strong attention to detail, reliability, and basic math/computer skills.

Qualifications

  • GA Pharmacy Technician license required.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must be reliable and execute multiple tasks.
  • Basic Math and computer skills.
  • Frameworks/ECM knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to physically perform light lifting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Narcotics Pharmacist Supervisor with daily functions.
  • Experience working Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) room.
  • Maintains floor stock, restocking, removal of expired medications in a timely manner.
  • Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.
  • Rotate stock of medication areas to assure quality controls.
  • Prepack for floor bulk prescribed medications.
  • Package fill and ship medications.
  • Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintained and adherence policies.
  • Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
  • Team player and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy.
  • Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.
