Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking a Naphtha Market Research Advisor II to support the North American trading team. You will build and update market models, deliver short/medium-term insights, and collaborate with traders, data science, and regional analysts to drive informed decisions.

The role requires US work authorization, 1+ years in energy trading, and experience with Python, Dataiku, and SQL tools. A Bachelor’s degree and strong Excel skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 1+ years of commercial/trading or related experience in energy.
• Exposure to Python, Claude code, Dataiku and advanced tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate naphtha fundamentals and market insights in meetings.
• Identify trading opportunities and support deeper analysis.
• Develop and maintain supply/demand models with macro variables.
• Integrate Naphtha balances with related trading balances.
• Produce predictive models and work with data science teams.
• Stay aligned with external viewpoints to maintain a competitive edge.
• Lead ad-hoc market analysis projects.
