Job summary

Chess Wizards, Inc. is seeking enthusiastic instructors to lead after-school chess classes in Naperville, IL. Teach 10–15 elementary students using our curriculum, in a flexible schedule with 1–5 classes per week, typically after-school hours between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

Instructors receive full training and ongoing support, with mileage reimbursement for travel between local schools. This role requires reliable transportation and a positive, student-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling, or similar).
• Ability to lead a class independently and make sessions interactive and fun.
• Professional, positive, kid-friendly demeanor.
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals and ability to explain concepts to kids.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students.
• Use structured curriculum to teach chess basics and sportsmanship.
• Manage a lively classroom with confidence and positivity.
• Encourage problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Follow school safety protocols and supervise arrivals/dismissals.
• Travel to various local school sites for each session.
