Job summary

Hundred Acre Wine Group in Napa Valley, CA, seeks a Controller to lead the accounting function, ensure timely close, and manage multi-entity financial reporting. You will supervise inventory/cost accounting, lender reporting, and tax compliance while partnering with FP&A, operations, winemaking, and sales.

The role demands hands-on leadership, strong GAAP knowledge, and a track record building scalable processes in a multi-entity winery environment. On-site, competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of accounting experience, incl. 3+ years in Controller/ACM role.
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP and multi-entity consolidation.
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting in manufacturing/agri/CPG.
• Experience preparing lender reporting and covenant calculations.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with a mid-market ERP.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team while remaining hands-on.
• CPA license (preferred).
• Wine industry or DTC experience (preferred).
• Dynamics 365 BC implementation/optimization (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close across multiple entities.
• Manage intercompany accounting, eliminations, allocations, and related-party transactions.
• Prepare management reporting packages and variance analyses with VP FP&A.
• Oversee inventory and cost accounting from vineyard costs to finished goods.
• Coordinate lender reporting, treasury, and cash management.
• Oversee tax, regulatory compliance including CDTFA, TTB, and multi-state.
• Own ERP system and drive process improvements and data integrity.
• Lead and develop the accounting team; partner with operations and sales.
