The ideal candidate has a physics or related background, hands-on metrology experience, and strong data analysis and scripting skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Materials Science, Nanotechnology or a closely related field.
  • Experience with advanced metrology techniques (AFM, SEM, TEM, XPS, FTIR, TOF-SIMS).
  • Understanding of electron transport physics and electrochemistry, ideally at nanoelectrodes.
  • Strong data analysis and scripting experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Characterize nanoelectronic devices across lifecycle stages using metrology tools.
  • Coordinate with vendors, collaborators, and fabrication partners for device characterization (TOF-SIMS, XPS, TEM, FTIR).
  • Prepare reports on pristine devices as part of quality control processes.
  • Create experimental summaries to provide feedback for testing and learning cycles.
  • Assess device requirements and propose characterization techniques to meet specifications.
  • Maintain detailed records of all experiments and analyses.
  • Effectively communicate results with chip fabrication, device measurements, and surface chemistry teams.
