Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience developing and optimizing surface chemistry on solid substrates.
• Expertise in ellipsometry, contact angle, electrochemical methods, AFM.
• Experience with bioconjugation and basic organic lab techniques is a plus.
• Data analysis and scripting experience is desirable.
• Experience in biotech or pharma R&D environments is desirable.
• Strong communication, analytical, and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, functionalize, and provide semiconductor substrates for daily workflows.
• Develop and optimize surface chemistry and bioconjugation protocols.
• Perform surface metrology (ellipsometry, contact angle, AFM) to characterize substrates.
• Analyze data to guide chemistry optimization and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain meticulous records of all experimental work.
• Communicate results and next steps to team and leadership.
• Collaborate with synthesis, engineering, sequencing, and bioinformatics teams.
