GenScript Biotech Corp. in the United States invites applications for a Nanoparticle Formulation Scientist to join our RNA team and lead development of lipid nanoparticle formulations for RNA delivery, including mRNA, DNA, and peptide delivery across disease targets.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in nucleic acid delivery, hands-on LNP formulation, and experience with nanoparticle production and analytical characterization; strong teamwork and clear communication are essential as you will

Qualifications

• Master or PhD in pharmaceutical science, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or related field; Master preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lipid and polymeric nanoparticle delivery technologies.
• >4 years of nucleic acid delivery experience with hands-on lipid nanoparticle formulation and characterization.
• Extensive experience with production and analytical characterization of nanoparticles.
• Proficiency in molecular biology techniques for mRNA and protein expression and RNA analytics.
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop new lipid nanoparticle formulations for mRNA, DNA, RNA, and peptide delivery across disease targets.
• Develop methods for characterizing physical characteristics of antibody-decorated LNPs.
• Process development for high-throughput LNP preparation and downstream steps.
• Produce formulations for related RNA projects and support functional assays.
• Maintain relationships with customers and participate in scientific meetings.
• Write study protocols, technical reports, and SOPs for mRNA product development.
• Interact with IP counsel to assist with patent prosecution.
• Monitor supply inventory and maintain clean, organized work areas.
