Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Principal Scientist in Pharmacology to lead NAMs-driven innovation across 3Rs opportunities, spanning ex vivo, in vitro, and in silico approaches. The role emphasizes translational science, cross-functional collaboration, and external engagement with regulatory bodies.

The successful candidate will guide portfolio strategies, foster internal capability development, and contribute to publications and external communications.

Qualifications

• PhD in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, pharmacology, toxicology, systems biology or a related discipline with a concentration in Oncology.
• 5+ years postdoctoral experience in NAMs-related platform development within oncology R&D.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical R&D governance frameworks.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• NAMs Scientific Engagement and Portfolio Integration: Engage with SIS stakeholders to identify NAM opportunities in discovery and development programs.
• Provide SME guidance on NAM applicability, readiness, and limitations across disease contexts.
• Drive incorporation of NAMs into program strategies with alignment to portfolio goals.
