Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Principal Scientist Pharmacology to lead NAMs-driven innovations across discovery and preclinical development. You will guide NAM strategy, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and shape translational approaches within oncology R&D.

The role emphasizes expert NAMs implementation, regulatory awareness, and external collaboration to advance 3Rs/NAM-enabled methodologies in a global enterprise. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. with oncology focus required.
• 5+ years postdoctoral experience in NAMs-related platform development in oncology R&D.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical R&D governance frameworks.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate ex vivo, in vitro and in silico NAM opportunities for discovery and development.
• Provide SME guidance on NAM applicability, strengths, limitations and readiness within disease contexts.
• Drive incorporation of NAMs into program strategies with rigor and regulatory alignment.
• Maintain awareness of external NAM developments and regulatory perspectives (FDA/EMA/ICH).
• Collaborate with internal teams to assess NAM capabilities and prioritize development efforts.
