Job summary

Gateway Nail Bar & Lash in New York seeks a reliable Nail Salon Receptionist to lead front desk operations and deliver an outstanding client experience. You will greet clients, manage walk-ins, schedule appointments, and coordinate with technicians to keep the day on track.

You should educate clients on services, upsell retail items, handle transactions, and ensure punctual opening/closing. Prior salon experience and strong English communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Nail Care Knowledge: manicures, pedicures, gel, acrylics, dip powder, nail health/aftercare; salon experience preferred.
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong attendance record.
• Customer service oriented with a warm, professional demeanor.
• Organizational skills to multitask and keep a tidy front desk.
• Clear English communication; additional Spanish/Vietnamese skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients, manage walk-ins, and schedule appointments using booking software.
• Educate clients on services and answer questions about longevity and aftercare.
• Suggest retail products based on client needs and maintain product knowledge.
• Open/close the salon on time and ensure smooth shift handovers.
• Process transactions and balance the register daily.
• Coordinate client arrivals and specific requests with technicians to stay on schedule.
