Job summary

ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington, NC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant II to work under the supervision of a licensed nurse, providing direct patient care within the NAII framework.

Responsibilities include participating in quality improvement, staff education, and ensuring safety and effective teamwork. May assist with EKGs, phlebotomy, admissions, transport, and discharge as trained.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is preferred - or higher.
• Active NAI listing with NC DHHS is required.
• Active NAII listing with NC Board of Nursing is required.
• Current American Heart Association HeartSaver or higher certification is required.
• De-escalation training must be completed within 90 days of hire if not current.

Responsibilities

• Participates in quality improvement activities and data collection.
• Attends staff development programs and participates in orientation.
• Provides direct patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• May perform EKGs, phlebotomy, venipuncture, and transport/discharge duties as trained.
• Maintains communication with care team and documents in medical records.
