Job summary

Vestas Brighton is seeking an Assembly Technician II to join our production team. You will assemble fabricated parts at designated floor stations, using pneumatic and power tools to build high-quality nacelle units for wind turbines.

The role requires 3+ years of experience in wind or heavy industrial manufacturing, the ability to read schematics, operate safely, and collaborate with fellow assemblers. High school diploma or GED is required; day shift with possible Fridays based on demand.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in wind, energy, or heavy industrial manufacturing, supporting complex mechanical assemblies such as large structural, drivetrain, or electromechanical components.
• 3+ years of advanced, hands-on experience using standard, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools, with proven ability to independently execute complex assemblies, maintain precise tool setup and accuracy, and safely diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
• Ability to understand and apply mechanical and physical principles to solve problems involving machines, tools and physical systems
• Ability to train others, read and follow written instructions in English.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble fabricated parts at designated floor stations using hand and power tools to construct nacelle units.
• Operate manufacturing equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Adhere to Process Work Instructions and manual production processes to ensure correct assembly.
• Achieve production standards within the allotted time frame.
• Handle materials by lifting, positioning, and removing them from the work area as needed.
• Manage materials using a bridge crane for loading, stacking, and transportation purposes.
• Interpret schematics to accurately assemble machine components.
• Collaborate with fellow assemblers to construct the final product.
• Test and inspect components to ensure they meet quality standards.
