Job summary

Ghostrock is seeking a NACE certified Corrosion Control Inspector to join our team in Pascagoula, MS. The role focuses on preventing and controlling corrosion on Navy ships’ hulls, topside, interiors and decks, with strict VOC compliance requirements and NAVSEA guidance support.

Responsibilities include conducting hull surveys and evaluating corrosion-control systems during surface ship availabilities, ensuring adherence to regulations and project specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with credits in algebra, geometry, trig and physics.
• Five years of corrosion prevention and hull/topside/deck coatings experience on Navy ships.
• Five years applying Clean Air Act, NESHAP, EPA, OSHA, ASTM 718F and MSDS VOC compliance.
• Familiar with NAVSEA policy guidance and PMS 400D support for naval ships.

Responsibilities

• Prevent and control corrosion on Navy ships’ hulls, topside, interiors and decks.
• Apply VOC regulations per Clean Air Act, NESHAP, EPA and OSHA requirements.
• Conduct surveys to assess effectiveness of corrosion control systems, including ship availabilities.
