Job summary

Employee Relations Associates, Inc. is seeking a Finance Director to lead North American finance, partnering with the Regional President and senior leaders to translate performance into action.

The role focuses on profitability, operational finance, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. A strong FP&A background and experience building high-performing teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• Progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing/operational environment.
• Experience in Operational Finance, Business Unit Finance, Plant Finance, or similar roles.
• Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, working capital and drivers.
• Strong FP&A experience across budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
• Experience partnering with Operations and Commercial leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate pricing, margins, costs and profitability.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Excellent business judgment and decision-making with limited information.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance partner to the Regional President and senior leadership team.
• Develop a deep understanding of the business model and key financial drivers.
• Analyze P&L, margins, costs, working capital, cash flow and operations.
• Identify issues and opportunities and help leadership prioritize.
• Partner with Operations to improve productivity and profitability.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning for North America.
• Oversee regional financial reporting and consolidation across the region.
• Evaluate performance against plan and provide actionable recommendations.
• Develop meaningful reporting and analysis for senior leaders.
• Ensure initiatives and priorities stay on track and translate results into business actions.
• Collaborate with Commercial leadership on pricing, product lines, bids and profitability.
• Support pricing initiatives and identify opportunities to improve returns.
• Provide financial advisory input on major commercial decisions.
• Evaluate CAPEX investments and business cases.
• Prioritize capital allocation with Operations and leadership.
• Support strategic initiatives and potential M&A activity.
• Lead finance transformation and ERP implementation efforts.
• Develop a lean, high-performing regional finance team.
