Job summary

Kraft Heinz in Chicago is seeking a Senior Manager, Procurement & Contract Accounting to oversee NAZ contract lifecycle accounting, review draft agreements, obtain controllership approvals, and coordinate close monitoring after contracts are executed.

You will lead technical accounting reviews for NA Controllership, manage month-end close activities, and coach teams while partnering with procurement and auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA is a plus and preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of management experience in accounting and audits.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and communication skills.
• Familiarity with procurement contracts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical accounting review of all contracts requiring North America Controllership approval.
• Oversee month-end close activities related to NA Procurement contracts, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Research and apply accounting guidance for vendor rebates, penalties, contingencies and other accruals.
• Prepare and review summaries of negotiated terms and accounting conclusions for leadership.
• Serve as point of contact to Controllership and BU for US GAAP recognition and policy questions.
• Monitor and communicate financial policy findings to procurement leadership.
• Act as NA Controllership relationship owner with NA Procurement and other stakeholders.
• Manage requests with internal and external auditors related to vendor contracts and SOX controls.
• Develop and facilitate formal training sessions for cross-functional audiences.
• Periodically review company financial policies.
