Job summary

Kraft Heinz is seeking an Accountant, Cost Accounting in Chicago to support inventory costing for North America manufacturing operations. You will partner with finance, operations, and business contacts across levels, improving costing processes and automation to ensure accurate standard and actual costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Demonstrated initiative and decision-making skills.

• Ability to analyze detailed data and deliver actionable adjustments.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Refine and execute month-end close journal entries, covering variance pass backs, deferred expenses, manual inventory adjustments, and cost component analysis.
• Provide accounting guidance to both accounting and non-accounting colleagues.
• Define and implement process improvements for closing with accuracy and efficiency.
• Become proficient in SAP Material Ledger (ML) close process.
• Improve the clarity of documentation and insights from Blackline reconciliations and SOX controls for costing and adjustments.
• Support personnel at assigned locations with ad hoc accounting information and analysis.
• Consolidate and publish variance reporting analysis.
• Develop and conduct training sessions and project deliverables as needed.
