Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position ensures that products are mixed in accordance with company guidelines and formula specifications.

This role requires strict adherence to safety work rules and reinforces safety as a core value. The employee must ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and activities related to food safety and quality to minimize product and process variability.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain consistent attendance to perform duties effectively.
  • Participate actively in safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Accurately weigh all ingredients to ensure consistent batching of products.
  • Set up the mixing room and ensure correct formulation of liquid egg products and ingredients using approved procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of batches before transfer to the proper holding tank.
  • Assemble and disassemble piping and pumps as needed.
  • Maintain continuous product flow along each production line.
  • Verify if the product meets customer specifications and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Record batch details such as LOT numbers, pH, egg solids, and egg usage on batch sheets and forms.
  • Maintain scales and meters for precise readings.
  • Have thorough knowledge of Clean in Place (CIP) procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining good housekeeping of the area, including pipes, pumps, and tanks.
  • Take personal responsibility for ensuring a safe and healthy workplace, adhering to all safety policies and procedures, and incorporating safety into all tasks.
  • Follow GMPs and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions, and report any conditions that may affect safety or quality immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills necessary to operate equipment controls.
  • Knowledge of pumps and valves with 6 to 12 months of related experience.
  • Ability to perform basic math operations with two-digit numbers, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to read simple words and sentences, and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Require wearing PPE such as hair nets, ear plugs, and earmuffs in certain areas.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and reach above shoulder level.
  • Frequent walking and standing required.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Ability to work indoors in wet and humid environments and stand on hard surfaces.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
  • Repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
