Responsibilities

Position Summary:

This position ensures that products are mixed in accordance with company guidelines and formula specifications. It also involves complying with safety work rules at all times and reinforcing safety as a core value. The role requires ensuring all policies, procedures, and activities related to food safety and quality are followed to reduce product and process variability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attendance is essential to perform duties effectively.
  • Participate actively in safety meetings and trainings.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance at all times.
  • Accurately weigh all ingredients to ensure consistent batching of products.
  • Set up the mixing room and ensure the correct formulation of liquid egg products and ingredients using approved procedures.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of each batch before transfer to the proper holding tank.
  • Assemble and disassemble piping and pumps as needed.
  • Maintain continuous product flow to each line.
  • Determine if the product meets customer specifications and take corrective actions if necessary.
  • Record LOT numbers, pH, egg solids, and egg usage on batch sheets and egg usage forms.
  • Maintain scales and meters for precise readings.
  • Have thorough knowledge of Clean in Place (CIP) procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining good housekeeping of the area, including pipes, pumps, and tanks.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy workplace by adhering to all safety policies and incorporating safety into all duties.
  • Follow GMPs and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions, and report any safety or quality concerns immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills necessary to operate equipment controls.
  • Knowledge of pumps and valves with 6 to 12 months of related experience.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and understand measurements in American units.
  • Ability to read simple words and sentences, recognize differences between words and numbers, and communicate effectively.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Wear PPE such as hair nets, ear plugs, and earmuffs as required.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb, reach above shoulder level, and ascend/descend stairs.
  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work indoors in wet/humid environments on hard surfaces.
  • Repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
