PACCAR is seeking a North America Materials Buyer to join our team in Kirkland, WA or Denton, TX. The role focuses on purchasing production material for truck assembly across four plants, coordinating with Purchasing, Engineering, and Suppliers to meet schedules.

You will manage material planning, negotiate terms, and maintain inventory while leveraging EDI programs and cross-functional collaboration. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Competenze

• 2-3 years of experience in supply chain or purchasing.
• APICS certification in CPIM/CSCP is preferred.
• Experience with Kanban/Lean Material Handling is preferred.
• Strong cross-functional communication and leadership skills.

Mansioni

• Place orders with suppliers for production material for truck assembly.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering and Suppliers to meet delivery guidelines.
• Determine production requirements for various parts groupings.
• Issue purchase and/or manual orders to meet schedules and maintain inventory.
• Lead conference calls to resolve supply chain disruptions and EDI issues.
• Plan and coordinate new parts introductions and inventory reduction with cross-functional teams.
• Forecast orders during low visibility using various reports.
• Negotiate delivery, expediting, and other charges with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery issues.
