Job summary

Google seeks a Government and Strategic Engagement Lead for North America to partner with state and federal bodies to shape education policy and digital transformation.

You will collaborate across policy, sales and product teams to design scalable, AI-enabled education initiatives, advancing equity, privacy and learning science principles. The role spans multiple locations with strong impact on nationwide education ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in technology sales or working with customers in a sales role.
• 5 years of experience in the education sector.
• Experience with AI in education, education technology, or strategy design and implementation.
• Experience in stakeholder management, government officials, or leading multi-stakeholder initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate strategic stakeholder partnerships by co-designing system-level transformations with state and federal governments, education ministers, and State Superintendents to reimagine education in the AI era.
• Articulate Google’s strategic technology stack to align with policy agendas, partnering with Sales and Partnerships to drive scalable, measurable adoption.
• Maintain deep knowledge of AI, pedagogy, and policy shifts; support GTM teams and differentiate Google’s ecosystem against competitive alternatives.
• Bridge policy strategy with Engineering, Product, Google Research, DeepMind, Public Policy, and YouTube to tailor partner solutions.
• Develop executive-level messaging to counter objections and position Google for Education as the preferred choice for digital modernization.
